Here is a grappillon of red grapes, part of a balloon decoration for a supermarket wine fair. Grappillons are small bunches of grapes that start to grow on the vine later in the year, and are usually not mature enough to harvest for winemaking. If there\'s too many of them it can inhibit the growth of the main bunches of grapes so they tend to be pruned early on, but they can also be made into a very sour vinegar substitute called verjuice.
